There’s no expiration date on your dreams. Whenever you get knocked down take a moment to stop, breath deep, and keep going. Never stop and never ever give up on yourself.

September is National Suicide Prevention month and a major focus for the military due to the rising rates of suicide amongst service members. During 2012 349 Soldiers committed suicide. Thats approximately one death every 25 hours and a 16% increase from 2011. The Army suffered the heaviest toll with 182 of those deaths. If you or someone you know is struggling talk about it! Seek help from someone you trust and do it before your burden overwhelms you.

It’s been a long hard road for me to get where I am today. I’m blessed to be able to do what I love, love what I do, and be surrounded by people who love and support me. None of that would have been possible if I gave up on myself or refused to reach out to friends and mentors. As Warriors we owe it to our fallen brethren to live our lives as best we can. Embrace every obstacle as a chance to live a full life and make them proud. Live the life they can not.
